Do paragraphs and sentences seem like enemies when you sit down to write?

 

This two hour intensive workshop will offer some practical solutions to producing clear and effective documents.

 

Good writing communication skills are highly regarded in the business sector. 

Writing skills are not a natural talent but can be learned.

 

You will be given an introduction to a number of tools and tips to help you write more effectively. 

 

Emerald trainers are highly qualified with many years of experience in business and academic writing. 

 

Our commitment is to make this learning experience fun and informative.

Join us 10:00 - 12:00 at the Lavalla Centre, 58 Fernberg Rd, Paddington. 

 

Ample unlimited street parking is available on Fernberg Rd.

Frances Cahill worked in the public sector for 28 years.  Her career has included stints at Radio 2EA and SBS TV , living in Aurukun, Western Cape York for five months and while living in Tasmania performing the ‘blue-footed-booby-will-you-marry-me -dance’ in front of a group of local politicians and dignitaries as a Joey Scout leader. 

Her academic background is in Linguistics and she has been writing for over 30 years. She has launched her own business as a wordsmith and her dreams are being realised in the world of writing and training.  She has recently been accepted for a PhD candidature in Education at QUT.

She is a passionate about the value of quality writing skills in and for business. With humour and warmth, she will let you in on the secrets of grammar and good writing and what it is like to be a proud grammar nerd.
